My highest rating for deliciousness is the sandwich scene from the movie "When Harry Met Sally", in which, in case you have never seen it, Sally indicated to Harry at a restaurant how women can pretend to be aroused during intimacy by much moaning, verbalizations, slapping the table with one hand, and tossing her head with her eyes closed, after which a woman at a nearby table tells the waitperson: "I'll have what she's having". Some of these recipes - Yes! Yes! YES! In fact, all of them, sound just that delicious. These were made by volunteers as a fundraiser to fight human trafficking so look like they are homemade in the photos rather than something that came off a production line because they are. There were only a couple of errors, but the only one that really sticks out was to preheat your "over" rather than your oven.Product details

Can never have too many pie recipes
This is a collection of 20 pie recipes, and it's nicely written. There are recipes for pumpkin, chocolate pecan, raspberry, bumble berry, coconut cream, butterscotch, Hint 'O Lime Lemon, Rhubarb Cream, Apple, maple walnut, peach, lingonberry, lemon lavender, cranberry-apple-raisin, cherry, blueberry, apple-almond-maple-caramel tarts. Due to dietary restrictions, there are a number of them that I can't eat. The recipes are clearly written and sound like they would be good, but I have to say that it's really very irritating that the recipe I really want to try, the Finnish Christmas Prune Tarts, (Luumutortut), requires Prune Marmalade, and there is no recipe for that included. I had to look it up online, and did find a recipe. Of course you can use other fruits, but I really wanted to try the prune recipe, and that's the recipe that got me to purchase the book.
This is an absolutely wonderful collection of pie and tart recipes that will please your tastebuds, including some really unusual ones that you may not have tried before.
The pie recipes came together in an unusual way. The story told by the author, Joanne Kaattari, is very touching. It can be an idea for your next fund-raising project. Enjoy!

This was a really nice cookbook along with a bit about the families and friends that started this - very nice! I look forward to trying them out this spring and summer.
In addition to the mouthwatering pie recipes inside there was a compelling story of human decency and a willingness to make the world a better place. It teaches us all about sharing time with one another and enjoying the simple pleasures to often forgotten. A reminder that even the smallest gestures can result in the biggest change for someone else in need.
